FAQs
School mode can be activated on the children's smart watch. If you have set up this parental control on the smart watch, your child can only read the time and use the SOS function. Our teacher letter will also help you communicate with the school if you would like your child to wear the smart watch during lessons for safety reasons.
If the child activates the SOS function, all three emergency contacts are called in parallel. If one of these emergency contacts is reached, the others receive a push notification. This way you know that your child has been able to call an important contact person when you are not available.
The children’s watch has two types of child lock. Firstly, in the app you can enable a setting that prevents the smart watch from being switched off - so your child can always be reached. Secondly, you can set a school mode at certain times so that your child is not distracted and can concentrate on lessons and homework. In school mode, children can only see the time and press the SOS button on the smart watch.
The children's smart watch works with the Hama KidGuard app. As parents, you have the app on your mobile phone and can keep an eye on your child, for example by tracking their location – both of you have access.
The children’s smart watch is suitable for children aged 5 and over, as it is only equipped with the most important functions. The large display and intuitive menu guidance make the children’s watch easy to use. Children can send voice messages to their parents quite naturally, so it is not necessary for the child to be able to write. The SOS button is marked with a red signal colour and can be activated with a single press so that the child does not have to search for the right function in a menu for a long time.
Yes, you can also add other carers for the Hama Kids smart watch. You can set up several admins who can configure the watch. Each admin has their own account. In addition, you can add 10 contacts who will receive the information the admins save for the watch.
