We're saddened by the passing of Rudolph Hanke, our senior partner, who unexpectedly passed away on May 7th at the age of 86. As the son of our company's founder, Rudolph Hanke embodied the essence of our company. Following his father's early demise, Rudolph took charge of the company in 1959 alongside his brother-in-law, Adolf Thomas. Over the years, Rudolph held multiple key roles, serving as Chief Technology Officer, Product Manager, Product Developer, and Head of Advertising concurrently. His inventions, including the Hamafix slide frames, the renowned film gluing press, and the bestselling book "Filterfaszination," became legendary. Rudolph Hanke led our company for 58 years, significantly influencing its growth and direction. Upon his retirement from management in 2017, just before his 80th birthday, his unwavering passion endured till the very end. Rudolph Hanke exemplified passion, determination, expertise, profound humanity, and approachability.
