The management of the accessories specialist Hama, based in Monheim, is restructured in part on 1 April 2018, and now includes two new authorised representatives, Christian Sokcevic and Roland Handschiegel. Christian Sokcevic takes over strategic company development. He is responsible for the continuation of company growth and the opening of new market segments. Roland Handschiegel is responsible for Logistics, Packaging and Facility Management. His goal is to perfect internal processes, in order to offer even more service to customers. The company management team consists of Maximilian Bartl (Consumer Electronics Sales), Roland Handschiegel (Logistics, Packaging and Facility Management), Jörg Hempen (International Sales), Thomas Kopp (Finance, Procurement), Christian Seel-Mayer (Human Resources, IT, Marketing), Christian Sokcevic (Strategic Company Development) and the managing director, Christoph Thomas.

After the retirement of Hans Seidl, the new authorised representatives Thomas Kopp, Christian Seel-Mayer and Jörg Hempen take over his areas of responsibility. Henceforth, Thomas Kopp is responsible for finance and accounting, Christian Seel-Mayer for human resources and IT, and Jörg Hempen is responsible for the company’s international business relations.

The “Videocut 200” video editing system, which would go on to be a best-seller, is launched. The integrated sound mixer allows the original sound to be faded in and out.
“Videocut 200” and its successors went on to become best-sellers. Competitors tried to copy the video editing system, without much success.

A professional tripod system developed in house combines new innovations with the company’s traditional strengths
Hama developed the “Delta Pro” series of tripods as a modular system, which was the first of its kind. This allowed Hama to offer affordable tripods to hobbyists and semi-professional photographers who wanted professional results. A range of extras, for instance the central column with air suspension or the 3D ball head, make these tripods the perfect companions for any terrain. Not travelling? This series also makes an excellent tabletop tripod.
