Note regarding HDCP protection: HDMI™ signals from Blu-Ray and DVDs are generally equipped with HDCP copy protection, at least when copyright-protected video material (purchased DVD, Blu-Ray, etc.) is being played. The HDMI™ standard prevents the analogue output/conversion of HDCP-protected material; these signals are therefore NOT output via the analogue VGA socket!
