Smart bouncer: window and door contact
A hot shower on a cold winter's morning - but have you closed the bathroom window afterwards? Have the children raced out of the house in the morning and left the front door open again? Nobody at home and yet the garage door has opened? Doors, windows and gates are often left open or offer ideal entry points for burglars. With the window sensor, you can now keep an eye on windows and the like at all times, even when you're on the move. In addition, the window contact can be used in conjunction with other smart home products via the app to create practical automations for greater security and convenience.

Even smarter heating control with window contact
Are you already equipped with smart radiator thermostats? Or do you want to retrofit your heating system to save energy and reduce heating costs? Then a window contact is the perfect addition to your heating control system to heat even more effectively and economically. Create an automation with the smart thermostat and the window sensor in the Hama Smart Home app. In this automation, you tell the two devices that the heating should turn down to a temperature you specify as soon as the window, door or balcony door is open. If you close the windows etc., the heating returns to the comfort temperature you have selected. Window contact, app and programming in combination think even further: set a time, e.g. 10 - 15 minutes, and you will be reminded to close the window(s) again. This means that the window in the bathroom is no longer open all day. This ensures an optimum indoor climate that is also good for your wallet and the environment.

Smart door and window security
You are at work, the children are at school, the cat is in the house and yet a window has suddenly opened? Push notifications on your mobile phone keep you informed about the status of windows, doors and gates at all times if you have installed a window contact there. So if a closed window is suddenly open, it is unlikely to have been the cat, but someone trying to gain access. The window sensor allows you to react quickly: check it yourself, ask a neighbour to check or alert the police. It only takes a few small steps to go from a smart door and window sensor to a secure smart home. With a smart alarm siren, a WLAN LED lamp and a smart motion detector, many automations can be created for more security. And speaking of cats: a reminder that windows are tilted can be a lifesaver for your cat.
Window sensor? Far more than that!
More effective heating - check! Creating a safe home - check! But a contact sensor has a lot more tricks up its sleeve than just heating, ventilation and alarms.
-
Operating the wood-burning stove and extractor hood safely
The wood-burning stove crackles cosily in the kitchen-living room, the hot stew steams on the cooker and the extractor hood is switched on so that there is not too much steam. In this constellation, it should always be ensured that a window is open. Automation in the app with a WLAN socket and the window sensor ensures that the extractor fan only receives power when a window is open.
-
Store medication safely
Although the medicine cabinet hangs high up in your bathroom, once placed on a chair or stool, the pharmacy cabinet is usually within easy reach, even for children. If you install the window contact there, you will be informed immediately if someone other than you opens the cabinet.
-
Avoid sugar shock
Do you also have an irresistible, bulging drawer of sweets in your living room or kitchen? Sweets in moderation yes, but the sugar shock, especially for children, should be avoided. Here too, the contact sensor attached to the drawer or cupboard door informs you if it opens without authorisation. In combination with a surveillance camera, you can also have fun and watch your children feasting on sweets. Sometimes you just have to go over the top.

The post is here
Is your letterbox not directly at the front door, but in the driveway, at the garden gate or on the ground floor of a block of flats? It's tedious to go to the letterbox several times a day to check whether the post has arrived. Et voilà - here too, the window contact is a smart everyday helper. If the letterbox flap opens, a push notification is sent to your mobile phone or the WLAN LED lights up and you know, yay, the post has arrived.

What do I wear...
Is your wardrobe so crammed full of fashionable acquisitions that you can hardly recognise the individual pieces? Then simply install a smart lamp and enjoy the new combinations that arise with more light and insight into the wardrobe. With all the joy of the beautiful things, it's easy to forget to switch off the light again. With the window contact and corresponding automation, this will no longer happen to you: Door open, light on, door closed, light off. Also works perfectly in cellars, attics and the like.
Control smart window contact via app
In the Hama Smart Home app, you can keep a close eye on every window, door, gate and drawer if a contact sensor is attached to it. Where is a window open, is the front door closed or is something open that should actually be closed? And of course you can also check this in the app when you are on the move.
Control smart window contact by voice
It is even more convenient if you query the status of the door and gate by voice command via Alexa, Siri or Google Assistant. You can do this conveniently from the living room coach by asking: Alexa, is the bathroom window open?

Get creative with the Hama Smart Home app
Have you acquired a smart taste and the WLAN control of one device is no longer enough for you? With the Hama Smart Home app, you can link all Hama Smart Home products together and thus create scenes and automations. In addition to extraordinary effects, simple, everyday actions can also be automated with Smart Home systems.
Scenes and automations make your everyday life so much more beautiful and comfortable – try it out for yourself, there are no limits to your imagination.
Scenes for a secure life
Create a secure atmosphere with the window contact in combination with a smart surveillance camera with integrated floodlight: If a window opens, the driveway or garden is brightly illuminated by the spotlight and you can immediately see who or what is playing around via the WLAN camera.
Automations with other Smart Home products
Pure atmosphere: A door sensor can also be used to program automations that simply offer something for the eye. Combine the window contact with a WLAN garden spotlight or a smart light chain. If you open the patio door in the evening at a time you set in the app, e.g. from sunset to midnight, the light show in the garden begins with the best unadulterated view.
Compatibility: versatile networking
Hama's Smart Home products are compatible with Alexa, OK Google and Siri Shortcuts. Expand your Smart Home with different products, enjoy full functionality and create a wide variety of scenes and automations.
Geofencing
Geofencing makes smart control of door and window security even easier: use the location function to set up automation. As soon as you move away from the house within a radius defined by you (at least 100 metres), the contact sensor checks whether all doors, windows and gates are closed. If not, you will receive a notification in the app and can immediately turn round and close everything.
